| Sembra che ci siano dei lavori in corso ad Alidhoo che termineranno entro settembre 2008. Ma non so se l'hanno mantenuto aperto intanto che stanno lavorando. Comunque il progetto, già in fase di svolgimento, è quello di costruire degli sbarramenti per proteggere la costa dall'erosione. I lavori riguarderanno soprattutto la parte nord dell'isola verso le over water e la "shifting beach" (cosa significa? aiutoooo non capisco) Vi copio l'articolo così ve lo leggete. This project involves the coastal protection of Cinnamon Island, Alidhoo in Haa Alifu Atoll. Alidhoo resort was opened in late 2007 and ever since have been facing difficulties in managing the coastline.
These include, heavy waves breaking from the north side where water villas are situated and the shifting beach. This project involves the protection of the coastline that includes coastal protection measures to reduce the force of the waves breaking thereby reducing the impact on water villas as well as creation of a mooring area at the end of the service jetty and also a technical study to design and construct submerged breakwaters around the island in order to retain the beach.
This project is currently ongoing and is expected to be completed before September 2008. |
