Velaa Private Island Coral Conservation

Acropora Update:
After one month of settling on the frames, we are excited to share that the Acropora corals are starting to attach to the frame and overgrow the cable tie!
This is an incredible result which the team has been hoping for, the corals to settle onto the frames soon!

We try to incorporate multiple different types of coral into our project to enrich our house reef. This is Pachyseris, a very slow growing massive species of coral.
What started off as separate fragments, this Pachyseris coral plot has now all fused together into one large colony in a years time!
We are extremely excited by this result because when planted in this way, massive species grow much faster.
Cerchiamo di incorporare molteplici tipi di corallo nel nostro progetto per arricchire la barriera corallina. Questo è Pachyseris, una massiccia specie di corallo a crescita molto lenta.
Ciò che è iniziato come frammenti separati, questo piano corallo Pachyseris si è fuso tutti insieme in un'unica grande colonia in un anno!
